The Mississippi Book Festival, a free event on August 21, 2021, features hundreds of authors, book signings, and family-friendly activities.
Calling all literary lovers and bookworms! The Mississippi Book Festival is fast approaching, and you don’t want to miss it. The "literary lawn party" is the ultimate book lover's celebration – complete with hundreds of authors and book signings. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?!
Consider yourself “booked” on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Why? Because that’s when the Mississippi Book Festival is taking place.
During the 1-day fest, the grounds of the Mississippi State Capitol and surrounding streets are transformed into a book lover’s playground.
A yearly favorite, it’s grown greatly since its inception in 2015. By its 5th year, there were more than 9,000 in attendance!
The event doesn’t just attract lots of book lovers, though.
It also attracts lots of writers.
At this year’s fest, hundreds of authors – local, regional, and national – will be on hand for book signings, panel discussions, and more.
Authors Alley, a hub for self-published authors, is another festival highlight. Attendees can stroll along the alley and interact with writers from all over.
Booksellers, capital tours, food trucks, and family-friendly activities, such as Kids Corner, are also part of the fun.
Remember, the festival is on August 21, 2021, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. For more information, call (769) 717-2648. You can also visit the Mississippi Book Festival website. And don’t forget to like the festival’s Facebook page to stay up-to-date on fest-related info.
