The Haunted Forest Trail In Michigan Is One Of The Spookiest Places You Can Visit This Fall

Glenlore Trails in Commerce, Michigan, offers a spooky and fun haunted forest experience for all ages with lights, music, and actors.

Things start to get spooky when summer starts winding down in Michigan. The good news is that the Mitten State has an absolutely magical fall season. You’ll find some of the best haunted houses and haunted forests, even before October begins. We've found one that brings the forest and the Halloween spirit to life with lights, music, and incredible trails. Let’s steady ourselves and check out Glenlore Trails, a haunted forest in Michigan offering spooks and scares for all ages.

Glenore Trails is located in Commerce, Michigan.

Commerce is located about a 32-mile drive northwest of the city of Detroit.

This haunted forest is creepy but fun!

Walking around the Michigan forest in the middle of the night is spooky enough. Add lights, dark music, and actors waiting to scare you at every turn and you truly have a recipe to scare just about anyone. The season typically starts in mid-September and is usually open Friday - Sunday until the last week in October.

Sometimes Glencore Trails offers special events.

For example, during a special 21+ only night, the main feature is a bourbon or wine-tasting experience. How's that for a true adult night activity?!

You'll see lights fill up the forest with all sorts of colors.

This gives a whole different meaning to fall foliage. Swap out the reds and orange with vibrant blues and purples. You won’t see the forest canopy lit up like this in many other places. Just don’t be too busy looking up at the trees to miss the clown eager to scare you when your eyes hit the trail again.

One year the theme was a haunted carnival.

At it, clowns and terrifying people got together like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!

A visit here is perfect for a spooky date night.

You can also leave the kids with the grandparents and head out for a creative date night with your better half. You’ll not only find something scary at every turn, but you’ll also find some pretty Instagramable spots.

It is so much fun for all ages.

Okay, they’re not all monsters here. You won’t have to worry about traumatizing your child by taking them to the Haunted Forest, because they’re very mindful of making sure everyone has a spooky, yet tasteful experience. Opening weekend usually features a lot of fun for kids including balloon animals and face painting. Families tend to book the earlier times when there’s still some sunlight.

Make sure you head to their website for ticket information, dates, and times. You can only purchase tickets through the Glenlore Trails website, as well as the Glenlore Trails Facebook page.
