When going through the motions of everyday life, it can be easy to forget just how many enchanting places there are in the Old Line State. Previously, we shared this list of fairytale-like places in Maryland worth checking out. Today, we're bringing you one more that will have you swear you've just stepped into a Disney movie. Ready for some magic? This Maryland destination is so delightful, it's almost unreal and it's known as the best castle in Maryland.
Located in Lutherville, Cloisters Castle is a charming sight to behold and has a somewhat romantic history.
This beautifully ornate structure was designed by the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Parker. They dreamed of building an authentic Gothic manor house to have for their very own, to live happily ever after.
They traveled throughout Europe collecting antiques and design tips. Their dream home was built in the early 1930s and remains just as enchanting today as it did years ago.
A step inside this grand structure reveals intricately painted murals and archways fit for a princess.
Diamond-shaped patterns decorate the windows for a cottage-type feel...
While stained glass designs decorate the ceiling, making for one glorious skylight.
Step out back and you're greeted with a glorious courtyard filled with plush greenery. If this setting doesn't make you want to sing sweet tunes, I don't know what will.
There's also a stone windmill that appears to be straight out of an enchanted forest.
Cloisters Castle is now used for weddings but you can visit during their special events such as Cork N' Canvas and Holiday Bazaar & Tea.
Cloisters Castle is located at 10440 Falls Road Lutherville, Maryland 21093. For more information, visit the website here.
