Walk Through A Winter Wonderland Of Ice This Holiday Season At The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens In Maine

One of Maine’s most popular Christmas events is back this year and it will be better than ever! In past years you were only able to drive through the light display known as Gardens Aglow. However, this year will be returning as a walk-thru event so you can make the most of your time in this beautiful garden soaking up the lights and making it a great family outing this holiday season.

We couldn’t be more excited to head over to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens this year for Gardens Aglow. Returning to its former glory, the event this year will have visitors walking through the garden.

With over 750,000 lights dazzling guests at every turn, this Christmas event is simply magical. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens undergoes a beautiful transformation during the holidays into an enchanted winter wonderland.

Various colors illuminate the grounds shining off of freshly fallen snow or shimmering off of the pond. The creative decorations are wider than just lights on a tree. They have had a moose, deer, and flowers adorned with glittering lights in the past so you never know what kind of things you may see.

The entire light display has been reimagined so even if you have been in the past when it was a walking event, this year will be different. They have the giant forest trolls that may even have lights as well, you will have to see for yourself.

We can’t think of a better way to start the Christmas season than to walk through this beautiful event and get lost in the wonder of this stunning light display.

Tickets will have to be purchased online before you go. Lights go on at 4 PM and the dates of the event are from November 19th to December 31st every Thursday through Sunday.

Gardens Aglow is one of the best traditions in Maine, for Christmas and we are beyond excited to see it return to its roots.
