This Maine Restaurant Has Its Own Lagoon And Is The Perfect Summer Destination

When it comes to summertime dining, there's nothing better than being outside in the Maine fresh air. Surrounded by trees with the sun shining down, warm weather in Maine just calls out for beautiful surroundings. While the coast is nice, it's also possible to enjoy some wonderful outdoor dining inland. This spot sits right on the edge of a beautiful pond, which acts as its very own lagoon!

Cindy's Dockside Restaurant is located on the banks of Range Pond, in Poland, Maine.

The property was originally home to the Poland Spring Resort's Ice House. It's where many of the resort's activities, such as dog races and swimming, took place.

Today the property is home to one of inland Maine's most beloved restaurants.

Cyndi's Dockside is open year-round, but in the spring and summer its proximity to the pond makes it feel like a true oasis.

Just outside you'll find access to everything that makes pond living great including canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and small fishing boats with motors.

And from May through October they're all available for rent. You can also rent fishing equipment and access their boat launch.

And, of course, no water front restaurant would be complete without seafood!

If it's not quite eat-in-the-great-outdoors weather you can enjoy their cozy dining room with high ceilings and exposed beams.

And the bar is fully stocked and ready for fun.
