1. Babb's Bridge, Windham

Sitting over the Presumscot River, Babb's Bridge connects Gorham and Windham. The Windham Historical Society website shares more information about one of the best Maine covered bridges.

2. The Bennett Bridge, Lincoln Plantation

3. Bethel Park Walking Path Bridge, Bethel

4. Big Adventure Bridge, Bethel

5. Low's Bridge, Near South Guilford

Low's Bridge was originally built in 1857 over the Piscataquis River but was washed away in a flood in April 1987. The bridge was rebuilt in 1990 on the original abutments and is located about three miles down river from the center of Guilford. 6. Hemlock Bridge, Fryeburg

The Hemlock Bridge was built in 1857 and spans the Saco River. There have been a number of improvements since then, making this one of the most beautiful (and sturdy!) in Maine.

7. Sunday River Bridge / Artist's Bridge, Newry

Built in 1872, the Sunday River Bridge is also known as "Artist's Bridge" due to its common use in photographs and art. It's easy to see why! In 1958 it was closed to traffic when another bridge was built nearby but it's still worth a sightseeing visit.

8. Porter-Parsonfield Bridge, Between Porter & Parsonfield

The Porter-Parsonsfield Bridge was built in 1859 to connect the two towns of the same name. The bridge spans the Ossipee River but was closed to traffic in 1960 when another bridge was built nearby.

9. Lovejoy Bridge, Andover

10. Robyville Bridge, Corinth

Built in 1876, the Robyville Bridge crosses the Kenduskeag Stream. It is a Howe truss bridge, consisting of chords, verticals, and diagonals, and one of the last remaining covered bridges near me with shingles on the roof and sides.
