Every year, the city of Natchitoches transforms into the Natchitoches Christmas Festival, a Winter Wonderland that attracts thousands of visitors every year.
Back for its 96th year, the six-week-long celebration runs until January 6, and it's chock-full of live entertainment, local vendors, and maybe even a Santa appearance or two.
The whole downtown area transforms into one of the most enchanting Christmas light displays in Louisiana. Take your time and wander through the streets to see all of the beautiful decorations!
Over 300,000 lights plus an additional 100 set pieces illuminate the Downtown Riverbank every evening at dusk.

On the weekends, be sure to stick around until dark when the fireworks will light up the Cane River Lake.
You can catch the firework display every Saturday during the festival at 7 p.m.
