Tucked away in the town of Greenwood just outside of Shreveport lies a special amusement park that the whole family will enjoy.

Both thrill-seekers and animal lovers will love a visit to Gators & Friends, the largest adventure park in northwest Louisiana.

Established in 2006, Gators & Friends is an exotic animal petting zoo and adventure park rolled into one.

Walk the boardwalk over their massive alligator pond, which is home to over 150 alligators.

Catch a feeding show and watch these surprisingly acrobatic beasts wrestle and leap from the water.

For the more cuddly creatures, head on over to their exotic animal petting zoo, where you can feed and pet more than 30 different types of unique creatures from all over the world including kangaroos, ring-tailed lemurs, and capybaras.

For the thrill-seekers, challenge your friends to a race on their 1,600-foot racetrack.

These gas-powered karts top speeds of over 35 mph, giving you the thrill of the wind in your hair as you whip through turns and power down straightaways.

If you’re really feeling brave, the zip line adventure course is just what you need.

This seven-part zip line lasts approximately one hour and will take you soaring through the treetops and around the park.

For the final 750 feet, you’ll be zipping straight across the alligator pond!
