White Sands Lake Is A Floating Waterpark In Louisiana That’s Fun For The Whole Family

Summers in Louisiana can be pretty brutal. The heat combined with the humidity can really take a toll on you, but luckily, we are blessed with countless swimming holes, rivers, and waterparks around the state to help beat the heat. There’s one fabulous waterpark in Louisiana that’s unlike any other, and you’re going to want to add it to your bucket list this summer.

Who doesn't love spending a day on the beach? Luckily, you don't have to leave the state to sink your toes in the sand and have a memorable beach day.

You might not know it, but there’s an epic aqua park hiding right in Washington Parish.

Tucked away in the hills of Franklinton, nestled under the shade of towering pine trees sits White Sands Lake Day Beach, a summer attraction you’ll fall in love with.

The aqua park has several water attractions that will provide endless hours of fun for the whole family.

To ensure everyone's safety, kids under 12 must wear life jackets while in the lake.

When you're not splashing around, rent a cabana so you can cool down under the shade. There are grills at each of the cabanas, too, so you can bring a couple of burgers to grill up for lunch!

You're also welcome to bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas, ice chests, etc.

You can also rent a kayak, stand up paddleboard, or peddle boat so you can explore the lake in a calmer, quiet setting.

Admission prices to White Sands Lake Day Beach are $15 for adults 12 and older and $10 for children 11 and younger. They're open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.
