Crawfish season is by far the season I most look forward to - king cake season and snowball season are tied for second. For a full weekend in May, Breaux Bridge throws the annual Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, one of the best spring festivals in Louisiana. This Louisiana crawfish festival shouldn’t be missed. Come out and see why Breaux Bridge, Louisiana is famous for this epic festival.

Breaux Bridge is known as the “Crawfish Capital of the World,” so of course, the Crawfish Festival would be held here.

It all takes place at Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge May 3-5, 2024. Fun fact: the festival began back in 1960, just one year after the Louisiana Legislature named the town the Crawfish Capital of the World.

The weekend is chock-full of events.

From cooking demonstrations to Cajun dance lessons, this festival celebrated more than just crawfish, but Cajun culture.

Better bring your dancing shoes, because nearly 30 local bands will be taking the stage throughout the three-day festival, playing their sweet zydeco and swamp pop tunes.

Adrenaline junkies will have a thrilling time riding the carnival rides.

And don't forget to check out the arts & crafts area of the festival, where you can find all sorts of handmade treasures, both crawfish and non-crawfish themed.
