Every year, the lobby of the Roosevelt transforms into a winter wonderland that must be seen to be believed.

The tradition dates back to the 1930s, and each year they keep getting better and better. Taking a photo in the Roosevelt lobby during the holidays has become quite the tradition for New Orleanians.

Perfect for families, this lighting display takes hours to put together, over 50 staff members, and countless strings of lights, garland, and ornaments.

The end result? Something truly magical.

44 birch trees, countless Christmas trees, and more than 22,000 twinkling lights will illuminate the lobby for the holiday season.

CNN recently named the Roosevelt as one of the top 15 hotels that go all-out for Christmas across the globe.

And that’s not all. Jetsetter and the Travel Channel have both listed the Roosevelt as top destinations to spend the holidays.

The lobby lighting will take place November 27th at 5:15pm.
