The Entire Family Will Love This Interactive Learning Center In Kentucky

One of the greatest heroes from the Bluegrass State is Muhammad Ali. Hailing from Louisville, the city was the chosen location for the Muhammad Ali Center. This monument to The Greatest gives an incredible look at the life and career of Ali while also allowing children to understand the importance of his life with plenty of interactive exhibits. From trying your hand at the speedbag and heavy bag to an up-close look at Ali's life journey, the Muhammad Ali Center is an excellent family-friendly day trip in Kentucky that truly has something for everyone.

Outside of the center is a tranquil garden space complete with several different art exhibits that speak to the spirit and character of “The Great One."

Beyond being a center where children and adults alike can learn the story of Ali, it is also a space that showcases the importance of core life lessons such as having confidence in yourself.

Watch highlights of Ali’s life and career from a ringside seat as a projector screencasts the video footage right onto the ring!

You can also test your skills to see how you would fare in the squared circle with several different boxing exhibits that give you an idea of how difficult the sweet science can be.

So much Kentucky in one photo! One of the incredible works of art created for the center is this Kentucky Derby horse statue decorated in perfect Ali style.

Muhammad Ali has a legacy that goes so far beyond the world of boxing. From becoming a social justice advocate to his work as a humanitarian, all of this history can be found at the Muhammad Ali Center.

My family visited the center when I was young, and I made a second visit only last year, and both visits proved to be an excellent way to spend an afternoon. There is plenty of historical subject matter to keep the adult members of your crew engaged while the kids take on the exhibits, making the Muhammad Ali Center a fantastic family-friendly day trip in Kentucky.
