9 Disturbing Cemeteries In Kansas That Will Give You Goosebumps

Kansas is home to several cemeteries that are known for their disturbing and haunting experiences.

What is it about cemeteries that are so creepy, yet intriguing? (Besides the fact that it is the final resting place for many.) Whatever the reason, Kansas is home to several peaceful and not so peaceful cemeteries, some of which will disturb and haunt whomever visits. Here are 9 of those disturbing cemeteries that are sure to give you goosebumps:

1.) Stull Cemetery (Stull)

The infamous Stull Cemetery is said to house a set of hidden steps that descend directly to hell. As if that wasn't creepy enough, the cemetery was once a (reported) meeting place for witches and cults, leaving the grounds cursed for all eternity.

2.) Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery (Fort Leavenworth)

Seeing as though Fort Leavenworth is the "most haunted army base in the United States", it should come as no surprise that the cemetery is also haunted. But just who is haunting the area? The spirits are the ghosts of diseased victims, sufferers of Indian attacks, lost travelers, slain soldiers, and other forgotten souls.

3.) Alma Cemetery (Alma)

The souls residing at Alma are having too much fun haunting visitors and photobombing pictures (in the form of an orb) to move elsewhere.

4.) Schroyer Cemetery (Blue Rapids)

Named after the many Schroyer's buried in area, this cemetery has been known for demonic voices, orbs, and sightings of a young boy covered in hair.

5.) Elmwood Cemetery (Coffeyville)

Unexplainable noises, shadows, and eerie surroundings await you if you visit Elmwood after midnight.

6.) Witch's Grave (Galena)

The name sums it up: A witch was buried in the area and can now be seen exploring the premises.

7.) Cedar Creek Cemetery (Manhattan)

Several visitors have reported the sensation of being watched when they visited after dark.

8.) Rochester Cemetery (Topeka)

Ghost hunters and visitors alike have seen her -- an albino woman who roams the graves at night. Whether or not she is dead or alive is up for debate..

9.) Rest Haven Cemetery (Wichita)

The sounds of children's voices and strange lights have been captured on film at this Wichita cemetery (this gives an entire new meaning to the phrase "Video or it didn't happen.").

Are you brave enough to visit any of these locations? Side note: If you do visit, please check beforehand to make sure that you aren't trespassing and ALWAYS respect those buried there.
