The Mid American Windmill Museum in northern Indiana is a unique attraction that tells the history of one of the state's most valuable tools. It has been around since 1992, yet few know that it exists.

Indiana might as well be known as the windmill state. There are 52 of these structures on display at this outdoor museum.

This unique museum displays all the windmills manufactured by Kendallville’s Flint and Walling Company. It aims to collect, preserve, bring awareness to, and educate locals about this interesting piece of Hoosier history.

Learn all about the history of wind power at the Mid America Windmill Museum. Guests will enjoy video presentations, exhibits, interactive displays, old photos, an expansive library, and guided tours.

This outdoor museum even celebrates the holidays with a field of lights. This walk-through attraction is delightful for all and includes food, craft vendors, hot beverages, and much more.

Entrance to this unique museum is available April through November, so mark your calendars for the season. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, and $3 for students and children. It is handicap accessible and includes a pavilion for visitors to enjoy a picnic.
