The beloved Martin Hardware store closed its doors, and since then the building has undergone an impressive remodel. It's been transformed into Neighbors Mercantile Co., a family-owned business specializing in products the whole family will enjoy. This Indiana general store has something for everyone, from outdoor gear to camping essentials, cooking and kitchen supplies, toys, gourmet foods, and general gifts. The business is just getting up and running, but its doors are open and they would love to see you pay a visit. From the moment the sign went up on East Market Street, the residents of Nappanee knew they were in for something special.

Neighbors Mercantile Co. is the town's first general store, and it specializes in some of the best Indiana goods around.

Martin Hardware was an institution in Nappanee, having been operated since 1958 by two generations of the Martin family.

But all good things must come to an end, and Dennis Martin closed the store in 2013. It stood vacant for years - until now.

In summer 2022, the doors to Neighbors Mercantile Co opened for the first time - and the residents turned out in force.

The owners pride themselves on only selling the best products, focusing on quality products relative to daily life in the Midwest.
