What remains of Elkinsville is nothing more than gorgeous wilderness, located within what is now the Hoosier National Forest. While this abandoned town might not seem creepy at first glance, all that remains of this former farming town is a cemetery, a post office, and a few houses.
3. Butlerville High School - Butlerville
This former high school in Butlerville shut down over 60 years ago. Since then, nature has slowly started to reclaim the building. While parts of Butlerville High School are stunning, other parts are pretty eerie to look at. Get a closer look at this abandoned school:
4. Old Reid Hospital - Richmond

This former Wabash and Erie Canal town in Tippecanoe County was populated by Native Americans in the early 1800s. A cemetery with the town name still exists within this abandoned ghost town.
6. Union Station - Gary
Nature has crept into and around this abandoned train station in Gary, Indiana. Once a bustling building, this former station was abandoned in the 1960s.
7. Mudlavia Springs Hotel - Kramer
This former hotel and spa used to welcome Hoosiers by the dozens in its heyday. In the 1920s, Mudlavia Springs Hotel was mostly destroyed in a fire and is now mostly covered by nature.
8. Corwin
One of the most intriguing ghost towns in Indiana is definitely Corwin. With former grain elevators and buildings still standing, you'll see how much promise this now eerie ghost town once had.
