It's been another long year, Indiana. Let's take a look at some of the awesome things Santa gave us this year! Keep in mind, I'm just one person and we'd be here all day if I tried to include every new thing that emerged in Indiana or every awesome thing that happened.

1. Beheading Can Trigger the Death Penalty

One of many laws passed this year was that if a If a murderer decapitates his or her victim while the victim was still living, the person is more likely to face the death penalty.

2. Move Over, Slowpokes

Naturally, there has been some debate regarding whether or not this was a "good" thing. However, police now can give slow drivers in the left lane a ticket if they are slowing down someone behind them.

3. Fairs and Festivals

Did you know the state of Indiana hosts roughly 600 festivals and fairs every single year? Awesome!

4. Warm Winter Weather

I don't know about you, but it is December and I've still turned my AC on. Thank you Santa!

5. Wishing for Snow

We got a little taste of snow, but haven't seen much this year. Those of you who love snow are still hanging onto hope!
