There aren't too many independent bookstores left. In fact, After-Words is one of few remaining in downtown Chicago, and it's so worth exploring!

Featuring two floors filled with over 70,000 new and used books, this local, independent bookstore has something for everyone.

Aisle after aisle is packed with books. There is quite a large selection of fiction, literature, poetry, children's books, and other genres.

If you enjoy reading works by local authors, you'll find those as well as books about local art, history, and architecture.

Can't find what you're looking for? Just ask one of the friendly staff members who will be more than happy to help you. And if the store doesn't carry what you're looking for, a special order can be placed.
