Cuddle The Most Adorable Rescued Animals For Free At Lanai Cat Sanctuary In Hawaii

Lanai Cat Sanctuary on the island of Lanai is a haven for wild-born cats, offering adoption opportunities and regular veterinary care.

Calling all cat lovers! There's a beautiful cat sanctuary on the island of Lanai, and it's home to dozens of beautiful felines who are longing for furever homes. Whether you want to just stop by and snuggle the kitties, or find one with a personality that will be a purrfect fit for your family you'll definitely want to pay this place a visit.

You'll find Lanai Cat Sanctuary on the island of Lanai. It's southwest of Lanai City, which has a population of around 3,000 residents.

This pretty oasis is bustling with all kinds of friendly felines! Almost all of these kitties were born in the wild. After living here awhile, about 40% of them are trusting enough of humans to be adopted into families.

The ones who aren't ready to hang with humans live happily amongst their cat friends. The sanctuary provides regular veterinary care to all of the cats, and has a staff of dedicated, experienced cat-lovers.

In addition to regular medical care, the daily caregivers here provide plenty of love, along with quality food, lots of water, and shelter.

Stop by to say hello and play with the cats! You might find yourself surrounded by soft, furry, purring creatures, all begging for a pet...

...or you might just choose a special kitty to get to know on a one-on-one basis.

The sanctuary would love to help you find a furever friend, but they'll ask you to spend plenty of time with your prospective pal to bond first. If you're heading home to the mainland, the sanctuary's manager Joe will help you figure out transport to get your new friend home. There's no fee to adopt a cat here, but the sanctuary does suggest a donation, and you'll be responsible for the transportation costs of the cat.

Lanai Cat Sanctuary is open 365 days of the year, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you can't visit in person, you can still help the sanctuary out with a monetary donation! Consider contributing to this wonderful 501c3 nonprofit if you're able.

If you'd like to make a donation or learn more about Lanai Cat Sanctuary, visit its website. Make sure to follow its Facebook page to see the newest residents!
