One Of The Largest Pumpkin Patches In Georgia Is A Must-Visit Day Trip This Fall

Fun family activities abound during the fall, and you'll find no shortage of festivals, corn mazes, and more. One of my favorite things to do in fall is visit a pumpkin patch in Georgia, and we have plenty of great ones to visit. Due to the climate, most pumpkin farms here are located in North Georgia's cooler mountain air, but down towards our southern regions, you'll find Poppell Farms, the largest pumpkin patch in South Georgia. It's tucked away in Odum, a little town in Wayne County with a population of under 500. Poppell Farms is a great seasonal attraction that offers a summertime market, Christmas trees in the winter, and, of course, a wonderful pumpkin patch and other autumn activities during the fall months. The 2023 Fall Fest at Poppell Farms runs on weekends from September 30 through October 29, 2023. Check it out:

There are more than 20 family-friendly activities here that kids and adults of all ages can enjoy.

Of course, the highlight is finding that perfect pumpkin to carve!

There's also a jumping pad for the kids, plus other fun activities like bubbles, catch-and-release fishing, and pumpkin bowling.

The petting zoo features a llama, donkey, and more, giving animal-loving kids a great taste of farm life.

You'll find delicious fall treats like mini donuts, plus candy bars, hot dogs, sandwiches, and more available at the farm's Calf-A.

A daytime visit means wagon rides to the pumpkin patch.

The 10-acre sorghum maze is great fun to get lost in.

On Friday and Saturday nights, you can even explore the maze by flashlight!

It's not haunted or scary, so you don't have to worry about the little ones being afraid.
