A Winter Getaway To Florida’s Snowiest Town Is Nothing Short Of Magical
Celebration, Florida, known as the town Disney built, hosts an annual Now Snowing event featuring artificial snow and various holiday activities.
There aren't too many towns in Florida that can lay claim to being the snowiest. The fact is, Florida doesn't have many snowy places at all, which is likely why so many people flock here for the winter. And yet, we do have one town in Central Florida that some might say is the snowiest of all. But, rather than freezing temperatures and winter gear, the snow in Celebration is a little bit different than what you'd expect, as you'll see in these Celebration photos. Let's take a look at Celebration, Florida.
If you’re visiting Orlando this holiday season, you have to take a detour to the beloved town of Celebration, Florida.
Celebration, known as the town Disney built, offers its annual Now Snowing event from late November to late December every year.
Every night, snow falls in Celebration, but it isn’t exactly the type of snow you would expect.
Of course, tropical climates can’t sustain real snow, so Celebration uses a non-toxic, biodegradable soap called Snoap, that makes it look like real snow is falling.
This is the same stuff they use in the movies to make it look like real snow!
Just be warned, this snow is wet, and with the kids playing in it, things might get a little bit messy.
The snow falls at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 pm every night.
But it isn’t just snow that you’ll find at the Now Snowing event, but a ton of other fun holiday activities, too.
Strap on some skates and enjoy one of the area’s only synthetic ice rinks.
Take a horse-drawn carriage around town to see all the sights.
Market Street is where to find the majority of the Now Snowing events, while Front Street has horse and carriage rides.
Revel in a Christmas celebration at the snowiest town in Florida this winter season. The whole family will love this one.
