In The Middle Of Miami There Is A Spanish Monastery You Won’t Want To Miss

The Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux, originally built in Spain in 1133 AD, was dismantled and moved to Miami, Florida, where it now serves as an active parish church.

In the year 1133 AD in Sacramenia, Spain, the Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux was built. Then, in 1925, a man named William Randolph Hearst purchased it, dismantled the monastery, and placed the stones in 11,000 wooden crates. Then, it was miraculously moved to Florida and it's an amazing place for everyone to enjoy.

It has been in Miami since 1964, when Colonel Robert Pentland, Jr. bought the stones and presented them to the Bishop of Florida. Today the parish Church of St. Bernard de Clairvaux is an active and growing congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida.
