If there was one winter activity (outside of all the snow sports) that I probably wouldn't believe could happen in Florida until I saw it with my own eyes...it would be ice skating. In a state known for its sunshine and warm weather, the juxtaposition of gliding on ice under a clear blue sky sounds pretty foreign - but not impossible. Taking place this year at The Loop in Fort Lauderdale, a 4,000 sq. ft. eco-friendly, technological marvel will bring the best of ice skating right to your doorstep. Get ready for an ice skating experience in Florida that is unlike any other!
From November through January, Las Olas Oceanside Park undergoes a magical winter transformation, becoming the ultimate place for holiday festivities.
"WONDERLAND" promises an enchanting experience for both locals and visitors of all ages. Amid this seasonal spectacle, a diverse array of attractions await, including a brand new ice skating rink.
The event boasts expanded holiday markets teeming with strolling characters, live musical performances, opportunities to meet Santa, and festive holiday movies.
But what’s more, is that this year there will be a 4,000-square-foot ice skating rink that’ll have you gliding around oceanside.
The RINK is made up of self-moisturizing, seamless tongue-and-groove panels that create a smooth surface, allowing skaters to glide and turn just like they would on traditional ice. It offers a classic wintertime experience suitable for all ages, whether you're a novice or a seasoned pro.
The ice skating rink will operate daily from Monday, November 13, 2023, through Monday, January 1, 2024, with holiday hours possibly varying. During the week, from Monday to Thursday, it's open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (with a special 30-minute session starting at 2:30). Fridays offer skating from 12 noon to 10 p.m., while weekends, Saturday and Sunday, provide extended hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you're looking for an adults-only experience, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. are reserved for those aged 21 and above.
To secure your spot at The RINK, make sure to purchase your tickets online. Additionally, if you're interested in private rentals or buyouts, you'll need to purchase all 50 tickets for a single session timeframe.
Ticket prices vary based on age groups, so make sure you check the website for more details!
