One Of The World’s Quirkiest Museums Is Right Here In Florida And You’ll Want To Visit

The Official Florida Flamingo Museum in Ocala holds the largest collection of pink flamingo-themed items in the world.

Florida has an impressive number of quirky roadside attractions. It stands to reason, then, that its museums would be just as wonderfully bizarre. In fact, if you head to Ocala, you can observe the largest collection of pink flamingos in the entire world. You won't find any live animals here, but instead all sorts of items shaped like the quirky pink birds.

Take a look:

The Official Florida Flamingo Museum is located at 4901 E Silver Springs Blvd STE 701

Ocala, FL 34470.

The museum was started by Cindy Dunlow, who set the Guinness World Record for the largest pink flamingo-themed collection.

After having been awarded this honor, Dunlow opened the collection to the public and it's every bit as quirky and wonderful as these pictures suggest.

When you visit this museum you'll find all sorts of flamingo-themed items, including posters...

...pillows and piñatas...

...stuffed animals and statues...

...and just about everything in between! The museum holds 865 items, which Dunlow began collecting in the 1960s.

Visitors from near and far continue to contribute to this impressive flamingo collection, ensuring the Guinness Title will hold for years to come.
