Spending time with family in Florida is something to truly cherish. There are lots of areas to explore and all over the state there are a TON of fun activities and attractions that allow residents and tourists of all ages to let loose and feel like a kid again. That's one of the things we love about living here! Take ICON Park in Orlando as the perfect example. This unique park is an incredible adventure for a family day trip, between the plethora of dining options, the retro carousel, and the gigantic Ferris wheel. Need we say more?

ICON Park is located at 8375 International Dr.

It is just a stone's throw from the Orlando Convention Center and a wealth of restaurants and shops along this busy Orlando thoroughfare.

You will find that it is the perfect family-friendly adventure.

There are over 50 shops, restaurants (in addition to all those in the area), and exciting attractions in one park.

While you can indulge in mind-blowing views from The Wheel at Icon Park...

... one of the newer attractions within the area is the Carousel On The Promenade. For those old enough, it hearkens back to a simpler, bygone era.

This 36-foot, hand-crafted carousel includes intricately detailed carvings of 30 different figures.

The artistry is absolutely fantastic!

Picture horses, reindeer, rabbits, zebras, and much more!

There are even chariot benches--fashioned kind of like carriage rides--for accessibility so everyone can enjoy the ride.

Plus, after the ride you can go again at discounted prices!

After you’re finished spinning on the grand carousel, take a short walk over to iCafe De Paris.

This beautiful café and coffee shop offers great views of the attractions.

As Orlando’s very own French café, you can enjoy sitting on the patio watching the carousel as you dine on light lunches filled with croissant sandwiches and crêpes.

While we’re a fan of a light bite after all of that carousel riding...

...there are also plenty of other fun restaurants in the park to choose from serving delicious meals.

The grounds of ICON Park are pretty spectacular as well.
