The Biltmore Hotel is easily one of the most coveted hotels in the state of Florida. Located in Coral Gables, this 271-room resort offers unique amenities like an 18-hole golf course, a full-service spa, and so much more.

The Biltmore Hotel opened back in 1926 and originally was a military hospital during World War II, as well as a veteran’s hospital after that.

Eventually, the hotel reverted back to accommodating overnight guests, but that was well after things got interesting in terms of who stayed...and who may have never left.

Guests of the Biltmore back in the early years often included celebrities and well-known figures. After all, it was one of the most luxurious hotels of its time.

Everyone from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to notorious gangster Al “Scarface” Capone spent the night here.

However, this hotel is also considered to be one of the most haunted, too, after a terrifying incident that occurred back in the 1920s.

Gangster Thomas “Fatty” Walsh was murdered on the 13th floor of the Biltmore over a gambling dispute, and it’s been rumored that his ghost still haunts the hotel to this day.

Guests have reported inexplicable sounds, cryptic messages on mirrors, elevators taking them to the wrong floors, and lights switching on and off.
