All throughout the great state of Florida, there are pockets of history just waiting to be discovered. In Miami Springs, this comes in the form of Curtiss Mansion. This historic mansion has become the ultimate wedding venue and touring locale thanks to a beautiful restoration that has reignited the beauty this architectural gem holds. The historic Curtiss Mansion in Florida was built in 1925 and was the home of Glenn Hammond Curtiss, also known as “The Father of Aviation.”

Curtiss was an American aviation and motorcycle pioneer who also has been credited as the founder of the U.S. aircraft industry.

Curtiss lived in this Pueblo Revival-style mansion with his wife, Lena Curtiss, until he died in 1930.

Designed by one of the most prominent architects in Miami, Martin L. Hampton, the mansion originally contained 30 acres, with a small lake filled with flamingos and swans.

Today, the mansion boasts one of the most stunning places for weddings after being restored in the late 70s. But guests can also visit by taking a historical tour.

Tours are offered on Saturdays by appointment only and last up to an hour.

Guests will be able to enjoy all of the magical architecture, as well as learn about the life and various inventions of Glenn Curtiss.
