You know a house is cool when it has its own name, right? Sculptured House is just such a house. Designed by architect Charles Deaton, it was built in 1963. It’s so cool that it was even featured in a movie. Check this out!
The house is located on Genesee Mountain, nestled in the trees.
Genesee Mountain is about 20 miles from Denver.
Locals call it “Flying Saucer House.”

Architect Charles Deaton said, "On Genesee Mountain I found a high point of land where I could stand and feel the great reaches of the Earth. I wanted the shape of it to sing an unencumbered song."
Is YOUR architect that poetic? Probably not.
It has a pretty amazing view.
The house sold in 2010 for $1.53 million.
Entrepreneur John Huggins bought the house in 1999 and built an addition onto it. In 2006, Michael Dunahay bought it for $3.1 million, but he defaulted on the mortgage and the home went up for auction in 2010.
The main living area get tons of lights from an entire wall of windows.
The current owners' furnishings fit right in with the 1960s design.
The home is 7,700 square feet.
It has five levels, five bedrooms and five baths.
The house was featured in a movie by Woody Allen
Sleeper, a 1973 science fiction film by Woody Allen, features Sculptured House, which was one of the main filming sites.
