Nature enthusiasts and foodies, rejoice! Now you can combine your two true loves with a bike-and-dine trek along Delaware's newest greenway - the Jack A. Markell Trail!

While the Markel Trail officially starts in New Castle's Battery Park, most people begin the trek from the Dupont Environmental Education Center.

From Battery Park to the Waterfront, you can travel seven miles along scenic coastal marshes, observing wildlife and river traffic all the way.

Pedaling into Wilmington is sure to work up an appetite, and luckily there are plenty of places to dine along the river.

When you get to the waterfront, park your bike and stop by Iron Hill for a delicious waterfront meal.

Even though Iron Hill Brewery is a chain, each location maintains their own brewing room, where master beer makers craft small-batch concoctions.
