Enjoy Food Trucks, A Stroll, And More At Summer Nights At Hagley In Delaware
Hagley Museum & Library hosts Summer Nights at Hagley every Wednesday evening from June through August, featuring food trucks, entertainment, and historic tours.
Looking for an idyllic way to spend a summer evening in Wilmington, Delaware? Hagley Museum & Library is welcoming the public to enjoy Summer Nights at Hagley, every Wednesday evening from June through August this summer. Food trucks, entertainment, ice cream, beer, and more await at one of the most beautiful places in Delaware to take a summer evening stroll.
Hagley Museum & Library, originally a DuPont property, features 235 beautiful wooded acres along the banks of the Brandywine River. There you’ll find numerous historic buildings remaining from the site’s first purpose as a powder mill in the 1800s.
Eleutherian Mills, the first DuPont family home built in the United States, is a highlight of the Hagley grounds. You can tour the home and learn about its history…
…and wander through the elegant restored garden of Éleuthère Irénée DuPont.
Hagley hosts several recurring events during the year, including Summer Nights at Hagley. Every Wednesday evening from June through August, take a stroll or bike ride along the Brandywine River and then indulge in a picnic, or try some fare from local food trucks.
Afterward, grab an ice cream cone from Woodside Farm Creamery and cool off with a sweet treat.
And don’t forget to wash it all down with a beer from Delaware’s own Dogfish Head Brewery.
This year, dogs are welcome at Summer Nights at Hagley, so feel free to bring your canine companions along (on a leash of course).
You can't go wrong with a summer evening spent in such a picturesque, historic Wilmington location.
Summer Nights at Hagley take place every Wednesday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM, from June through August. Admission is $5 for the general public, or free for museum members and children under 6, with tickets available at the gate.
Visit the Hagley Museum and Library Facebook page for regular event updates regarding vendors, entertainment, and more - and visit the Hagley website for information on tours, museum hours, and planning your visit.
