1. Explore the Bethany Beach Nature Center

There is no shortage of nature centers in Delaware - nearly every state park has one worth visiting. Bethany Beach's however, makes this list because when it comes to free things to do in Delaware, they really go over the top with activities for children and families. Right now, they're open Wed – Fri: 10 to 3, and the first two Saturdays of the month from 10 to 12.

2. Appreciate Modern Art

The Delaware Contemporary in Wilmington is one of the region's finest art museums, with permanent and rotating exhibitions year-round. Best of all, admission is totally free, so expand your mind without worrying about emptying your wallet. The Delaware Contemporary is closed on Mondays, and open 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM most other days.
