When fog rolls in, blanketing the state, it makes Delaware's landscapes magical in the mist. Whether the sun sets the fog aglow with a warm light, or the clouds plunge the scenery into gray, here are some photos of Delaware that are simply stunning and spine-tingling all at once.
1. There's just something about the black shadows of the pines against the pink and purple hues of the sky in this photo from southern Delaware.
2. We wonder where the stairs lead in this shot from along Delaware's coastline.
3. Bancroft Mills looks eerie even without the glow and mist from a photo taken with a long exposure.
4. The mist over the abandoned pilings and rip rap at Port Mahon make the spot seem especially desolate.
