The Treetop Trail That Will Show You A Side Of Delaware You’ve Never Seen Before

Go Ape at Lums Pond offers a thrilling treetop adventure course in Delaware, perfect for family fun and thrill-seekers.

Now that the weather is finally on our side, there's one thing you've got to cross off your Delaware bucket list: Go Ape at Lums Pond. If you've never explored the First State's only treetop trail, you are in for a treat! This canopy walk in Delaware will show you a side of the state you've never seen before.

Did you know that there's a treetop ropes course hiding in Lums Pond State Park?

This incredible adventure park and canopy walk can be found at 1042 Howell School Rd., Bear, DE 19701.

You'll get to spend two to three hours up in the forest canopy, high above the park below!

The only canopy walk in Delaware consists of tree-to-tree walkways, a Tarzan swing, and a few rope crossings as you climb higher and higher into the forest.

As you make your way through the course, you'll cross the pond itself on five different ziplines, each one higher and longer than the last.

The final thrill is a 700' long cruise with a beautiful view of Delaware's largest pond.

Even if you're afraid of heights, you'll have a great time as you push yourself beyond your comfort zone, and you'll be left with a real feeling of accomplishment!

Though you have to be at least 10 years old to participate in the full course, the Treetop Junior course is an option for kids of all ages. It's lower and only takes an hour to complete.

This season, enjoy the best view you'll find in Delaware at the Go Ape adventure course! You'll be so glad you gave it a try.

Go Ape Lums Pond is the perfect weekend activity for the whole family! Almost anyone can participate, though there are a few height and weight restrictions. Admission for Go Ape! Lums Pond is $58 for ages 16+ and $38 for ages 10-5. The Junior Course is $28. You can find more information at Go Ape Lums Pond and schedule your adventure online.

Of course, there are so many things to do at Lums Pond that you'll want to spend the rest of the day there, too! It is Delaware's best thrill-seeker's park for sure because, in addition to hosting the only treetop course in the state, it's also our most haunted campground.
