In 1713, Benjamin Hoyt built this home for his family. In 1772, Hoyt's grandson bought the property and converted it into T. Keeler’s Inn.
In 1777, it was part of a major Revolutionary War battle.
British troops stormed the inn on April 27, 1777. As you tour the property, you'll see that a cannonball remains lodged into one of the corner posts even to this day.
On select days, you can even tour the museum and learn about life during the Revolutionary War.
Costumed guides often lead visitors through the historic rooms.
