This 16-Acre Fall Festival Is Good, Old-Fashioned Fall Fun In Connecticut

It's not hard to find a great fall festival in Connecticut - come autumn, it feels like there's a harvest festival, chili cook-off, or fair going on just about every weekend. Each has its own fun qualities and special way of celebrating the season. One of the ones that we think is the most fun is the Fair Weather Growers' Fall Festival in Cromwell. This family-friendly event has all kinds of activities to enjoy, and it's simply good old-fashioned fun that can be tough to find nowadays, especially if you live in the city. The 2023 event is scheduled to run from September 16 through October 30, on Fridays through Sundays. Check it out:

Fair Weather Growers has more than 400 acres that produces over 200 different varieties of vegetables. The farm market here is open from May through December and sells plants, fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Fall is when the farm really shines, though. The fall festival here takes place on a 16-acre field in Cromwell.

There's a huge corn maze, along with other attractions that the whole family can enjoy.

The festive decor, scarecrow walk, and grain pit all make for great backgrounds for family photos.

There's a petting zoo made up of farm animals, plus several rides and a smaller hay maze geared towards the little ones.

Grab a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Whether you're hunting a jack-o'-lantern or want to craft up a pie, there are plenty to choose from here.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the ticket booth on-site.
