What began with a group of friends car racing in Colorado and driving on a frozen pond above Central City circa 1965, continued to progress and evolve.
It became Our Gang 4 Wheelers in 1977, with an inaugural race taking place at Twin Lakes.
Since the group's inception, the location has changed to Georgetown Lake.
But the goal remains: to provide a fun and safe way to enjoy your personal 4x4 during the winter.
Joining Our Gang Ice Racing is easy, as it requires a 4WD or AWD vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a small registration fee for this frozen lake racing.
Online registration is required without exception, which opens approximately 3-4 weeks before the event date.
In addition to competitive racing on frozen lakes in Colorado, Our Gang also offers noncompetitive classes for all levels of drivers.
Also, the Sunday Fun Day Track is available for those who want to experience the thrill in a no-pressure environment.
