This Wine Cruise Is One Of The Most Unique Experiences You Can Have In Southern California

Ship ’N a Bottle in Newport Beach is run by Marcus, who has become known around Newport Harbor as “The Best Captain in The Bay,” and his wine cruises have received five-star ratings for 10 years.

This wine cruise is like a mini-vacation. Sit back, turn on some of your favorite music, and forget about everything else.

You will meet your cruise captain on Balboa Island in Newport Beach, near the main ferry dock, to embark on your journey. Once you are onboard, your host will pour the wine and serve up some appetizers.

One bottle of red or white wine, or champagne, is provided per two people, and is served with a platter of salami, cheeses, pita crackers, and grapes to go with it.

When everyone is seated and has a glass in hand, the boat will shove off for your 90-minute harbor journey. You will cruise around Newport Harbor and see all six of the little islands in the bay. The smooth waters in the harbor mean no seasickness and no spilled wine!

The classic sailboat you board is outfitted with wooden benches and a table that ensure a comfortable ride and unobstructed views. The boat is also stocked with blankets in case the weather is chilly and life jackets for peace of mind.

Enjoy the sights in and around Newport Bay, including historic landmarks, famous homes, and the colorful Balboa waterfront.

During much of the year, evening cruises are available so you can enjoy an iconic Southern California sunset over the water.

Guests must be 21 to be served wine, but anyone over 18 is welcome onboard. You can choose a shared cruise, if others book the same slot, or a private cruise for up to six people.
