This Small Town Groundhog Festival In Northern California Is Fun For All Ages
Every year, the quaint Northern California town of Quincy hosts a fun event on Groundhog Day. This quirky annual event has become a cherished tradition for both locals and visitors, adding a touch of whimsy to the charming community in Plumas County.
Be there in person to see if the groundhog will see its shadow (and we’ll get six more weeks of winter), or not.
Even if you don’t believe the groundhog’s predictions hold any merit, it’s fun to take part in this American tradition.
The next Groundhog Day event takes place on Feb. 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event organizers encourage people to “get out of their holes” and mingle with neighbors.
While the groundhog is the star of this festival, there are some other fun things planned.
This event will have a lot of contests and activities to enjoy. So head to the Plumas County Courthouse for this light-hearted and fun event.
