Redwood Railbikes offer a unique and scenic way to explore the redwood forest in Northern California.

Whether you've lived in Northern California all your life or are relatively new to the area, there's no denying the allure of the redwood forest. These giant trees have inspired countless adventures, and today we'll add a new one to that list: the Redwood Railbikes. Railbikes offer those with a love for the great outdoors the chance to pedal their way along an unbelievably scenic forest route. Whether you're committed to pedaling the entire way or decide you'd like a break -- luckily, the bikes come with a motorized option -- you won't soon forget this one-of-a-kind outdoor experience.

Riders of all skill levels are invited to hop on a Railbike and experience the redwood forest in the most unforgettable way.

Departing from Fort Bragg, each Railbike excursion lasts approximately one hour and a half. Along the way, your guide will point out places of interest so you can take in all the incredible scenery.

The railway passes through the Pudding Creek Estuary, home to abundant wildlife such as blue heron, osprey, and more creatures.

After passing through the redwood groves, the journey will take a 30-minute pause at Glen Blair Junction.

Glen Blair features a picturesque wooded trail where visitors are encouraged to stretch their legs and explore the woods on foot.

The Railbikes run rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately and wear plenty of layers so you stay warm.

While the Railbikes are appropriate for all skill levels, it's recommended that riders have the endurance to bike leisurely for 30 minutes.

You'll also have plenty of guidance along the way as well as a 30-minute introduction to how to safely operate your Railbike.

No matter your reason for signing up for a Redwood Railbike excursion, you'll leave with a newfound appreciation for the mighty redwoods and surrounding landscape of Fort Bragg.

The rate is $250.00 per bike, which can accommodate two riders. For more information about reserving your railbike, be sure to visit the official Skunk Train website by clicking here.
