Every year as the holidays inch closer, it's time to start planning our Christmastime adventures! Fortunately, there are plenty of fantastic events and holiday-themed experiences to check out in our region. If you love Christmas lights, we know exactly where you should go. One of the most festive light shows in the state is Santa's Speedway in SoCal, an incredible drive-thru experience in which visitors can drive along a real racetrack! Decked out with multi-colored lights and vibrant holiday displays, this is an experience the whole family can enjoy this season.

Editor's Note: In 2023, Santa's Speedway will not be offering a drive-thru experience. However, for guests who do not wish to walk through the displays, Santa's Speedway has tram and hayride options available. We'll keep you updated if/when the drive-thru component returns!

Make your holiday season one to remember with a visit to one of California's brightest and biggest light shows. Santa's Speedway in SoCal offers larger-than-life Christmas light displays that are sure to leave you feeling festive!

The one-of-a-kind experience takes place at the Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, CA. Featuring a variety of displays, three full light tunnels, and a signature 110-foot-tall Christmas tree, it's no wonder so many families have made a tradition out of this holiday experience.

Here, visitors can drive or walk through some truly dazzling displays of Christmas lights.

As noted above, Santa's Speedway is not offering a drive-thru experience this year.

Some of the displays include oversized ornaments, race car stables, and a Christmas Sweets Land. The photo opportunities are plentiful!

Visitors typically take about 45 minutes to complete the experience. Tickets are sold per vehicle and can be purchased online beforehand or at the track on the night of.

It's not very often you get the opportunity to get up close with a real racecar track, especially one that's decked out in multi-colored lights! To top off a magical evening filled with mesmerizing displays, attendees can also visit Santa at his fire truck at the very end of the experience.
