15 Amazing Places In Northern California That Are A Photo-Taking Paradise

Northern California offers numerous picturesque locations perfect for photography enthusiasts.

Northern California is one of the most picturesque places on the planet. From the giant sequoias in our redwoods forests, to the rocky beaches and the rolling hills exploding with grapes, there's no reason you shouldn't be a professional photographer by now. Yeah, we know we're rockin' awesome when it comes to Norcal-selfies. We could photograph ourselves day and night and still not capture the essence of just how gorgeous this part of our state is.

We've included a few places below that are a photo taking paradise. Since we can't include ALL our hot spots for photo ecstasy, why don't you share in the comments where you think Northern California needs us to bring our cameras.

1. Redwood Trees

Humboldt County is the place to be if you're looking for giants to photograph. The most beautiful of forests are in these parts.

2. Bodega Bay

Some of the most gorgeous coastline you'll see through a lens. Sunrise or sunset, it doesn't matter. Nature at its best.

3. The Golden Gate Bridge

Is there even a question? Of course you'll need to photograph our golden girl. She's a beauty from any angle.

4. Burney Falls

Hike to the falls and confirm the fact that we do live in paradise. Who needs Hawaii, anyway?

5. Niles Canyon

The spot where silent films were born. This canyon boasts bridges, a creek and a canyon that only a true photographer would salivate over.

6. Lake Tahoe

Need we say more?

7. Santa Cruz

Between the ocean and the boardwalk rides, this is a smorgasbord for a photo-taking kind of person.

8. Lake Shasta

The reigning beauty queen of Northern Califoria. She's just waiting for you to snap a few photos. We dare you to take a bad one of her.

9. Tower Bridge

The Tower Bridge in Sacramento puts our capital city on the map. This bridge is lovely in any light. Come for the 4th of July and shoot her while fireworks explode overhead.

10. McLaughlin's Daffodil Hill

In the heart of gold country in Amador County you'll find the most glorious spot. Each year this is where thousands of people flock in the spring for just a few glorious weeks when they can witness hundreds of thousands of daffodils exploding in bloom. Breathtaking.

11. Apple Hill

El Dorado County has a gem here. Dozens of farms tucked in between the Sierra Nevadas and the Sacramento valley. Pick berries in the summer and apples in the fall. Or, wait until Christmas and cut down a tree at one of the farms here. Either way, you'll be back.

12. AT&T Stadium

Home of the San Francisco Giants. It's like a walk back in time. Sure, the garlic fries are a new treat, but this stadium is magic. It's like watching a ball game the way it used to be.

13. Emerald Bay

If you're up snapping shots of Lake Tahoe, then you're much too close not to drop over and see the gem of the area. You'll hate yourself later if you don't.

14. Yosemite

From Half Dome to Horsetail Falls, there are 1,000 reasons Yosemite is making our list.

15. Napa Valley. Duh.

Northern California, we want to hear from YOU. Where are some of your favorite photo-taking spots? We won't tell anyone else. We promise!
