In 2015 and 2016 we told you all about the must-see fireworks shows in your area. For your 2017 fireworks coverage, we’re doing that again, except this time we’re doing it better. Below these top five fireworks shows, you’re going to find up-to-date information about fireworks shows in every county of the Natural State. If you’ve been wondering "where are fireworks near me," you’re the luckiest reader in the world, because I made this just for you. Happy fourth, y’all! Be safe, have fun, and don’t forget to buy sparklers for the kids.
1. Pops on the River (Little Rock)
Pops on the River in Little Rock takes the first spot on this list because it’s the biggest fourth of July celebration in the Natural State. Most years more than 30,000 attend the event. This year they’ve got even more awesome than usual: a bigger fireworks show, food trucks, activities for the kids, and lots of entertainment.
Pops on the River is happening on July 4th in the River Market District at 101 East Markham Street in Little Rock. It will last from noon until 10 p.m.
2. Great Blast Night at Arvest Ball Park (Springdale)
There are two Great Blast Nights this year, both following the Naturals games on July 3rd & 4th. After the games, you’ll be treated to spectacular fireworks shows. The games start at 6:35 p.m. Now, if they had apple pie at the gate, this might just be the most patriotic event anywhere. After all, nothing says America like fireworks and baseball.
Arvest Ballpark is located at 3000 South 56th Street in Springdale.
3. Prairie Creek Marina Fireworks (Rogers)
What could be better than a fireworks show over one of Arkansas’s most popular lakes? You can find just that at Prairie Creek Marina, where they’ll be shooting off fireworks over Beaver Lake. This year’s display is on Sunday, July 2nd. The Prairie Creek display won its spot on the list by being awesome and holding the event on a day when you might not already have other plans.
Prairie Creek Marina is located at 1 Prairie Creek Marina Drive in Rogers.
4. Mountain Harbor Resort & Spa Fireworks (Mount Ida)
Arkansas’s clearest, most pristine lake has a resort sitting on its shores that you should consider for your fourth of July festivities. Mountain Harbor Resort has a full day of events planned on July 4th this year, starting in the morning with an incredible four wheeler parade at 9:30 a.m. At 9:30 p.m., the largest fireworks display over Lake Ouachita will occur, and it is truly stunning.
Mountain Harbor Resort is located at 994 Mountain Harbor Road in Mount Ida.
5. Fireworks over Paris (Paris)
How about a festive event for a good cause? At Fireworks over Paris, all donation go to supporting the Paris area backpack program, which helps feed hungry kids who are home on summer break. You can bring snacks, cereal, or money to donate in their donation tent. The display is free to watch, and absolutely spectacular to boot. Still, it wouldn’t hurt you to clean out your pantry for the sake of some hungry kids, would it? Fireworks over Paris is happening on Saturday, July 1st. The event begins at 8 p.m. and fireworks will be shot at dusk.
Fireworks over Paris will be held at Wood Street Park, which is located at 1101 Wood Street Park in Paris.
Here is a list of fireworks shows near you, organized by county. If you're looking for fireworks in Arkansas, this is the list you want. Because some of the counties have events for several days, the events are also organized by date. That way you can plan your whole holiday weekend, one spectacular event after the other. Some of the displays are happening in June, so you might want to look out for those.
This list will be updated as more information becomes available.
