Are you excited...can you feel autumn in the air? Fall is tapping on your doorsteps and soon it will be time to plan your autumn adventures in Arkansas. Over the years, we have told you about the many fall events happening in and around town. I hope by now you’ve added a few of those festivals to your list. Today, we are featuring another charming harvest festival in Arkansas. With a pie auction, country breakfast, craft demonstrations, historic tours, and more, we can’t wait to attend the Cane Hill Harvest Festival in Washington County. Come with us on September 21 for a day of fun, family-friendly activities, we bet that this will become a new fall tradition for you.
As one of the oldest settlements in Arkansas, you should visit Cane Hill at least once to see the historical buildings and learn about the town. But if that’s not enough reason for you, then how about planning a trip to experience the 37th Annual Cane Hill Harvest Festival this year.
The one-day event kicks off on September 21 at 7 a.m. with a hearty country breakfast. After indulging in the buffet-style breakfast, it’s time to explore all the activities the festival has to offer.
Whether you’re a history buff, a music lover, an art and crafts enthusiast, or a foodie, there is something here for you to love. History buffs, take a tour of the historic Cane Hill College and the Presbyterian Church, and learn more about the early settlers and the historic significance of the community.
If you’re a music lover, get ready to dance to Ozark tunes from local artists. Be sure to check the Cane Hill Harvest website for this year's lineup.
Of course, no harvest festival is complete without having something for the art and crafts lover in you. You’ll be delighted to know that there will be craft demonstrations, a quilt show, plus lots of vendors selling handmade crafts for you to take home.
If that weren’t enough, food vendors will be there too, selling some of our favorite festival treats. For more goodies, don’t skip the Arts and Eats market or the live pie auction. Moreover, you’ll want to bring the little ones along for this event as there will be a Kids Zone offering free face painting and more.
The fun doesn’t stop there folks! Look out for the sorghum pressing demonstrations, local art exhibits, and you’ll want to go to the Cane Hill Museum and art gallery, too. As one of the longest running and most beloved festivals in NWA, the Cane Hill Harvest Festival belongs on your list this year.
