The Holiday Express Train Is Returning To Arkansas This Year And You Won’t Want To Miss It

Canadian Pacific Kansas City’s Holiday Express Arkansas train offers a festive experience while raising funds and awareness for community food banks.

The Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) have officially combined to create Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) and it's sending its beloved Holiday Express Arkansas train to the state for another fun season. This stationary train visit is perfect for families wanting to have a unique festive experience. It is scheduled from 10:45 to 11:15, Nov. 29, 2023, along Sherwood Avenue at Seventh Street railway crossing in Mena, Arkansas. Let's catch this festive train along one of its stops in Arkansas for its 25th anniversary.

The Holiday Express Arkansas is on its way to the Natural State to once again welcome Christmas.

The 2023 CPKC Holiday Train tours Canada and the U.S. from Nov. 20 through Dec. 19 to raise food, money, and awareness about the vital needs that food banks help fulfill in their communities.

Entry to the train is free, with CPKC encouraging attendees to please make a monetary or heart-healthy food donation to help ease hunger needs in their community.

The Christmas train in Arkansas is more than just a traveling display.

We love that the goal of the train visit is to raise money for each visited community in order to ensure kids in need will receive warm clothing and other necessities before Christmas.

This good cause and great experience are the perfect way to start the celebrations this December with the project raising more than $22.5 million and more than 5 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America since it began in 1999.

The winter trains in Arkansas bring a concert featuring Seaforth, a country music duo from Australia consisting of Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson; and Kiesza, a Canadian singer-songwriter.

These singers are not pictured.

In addition to the big smiling engine named Rudy, the train will have cars filled with festive, themed displays for everyone to enjoy.

Of course, Santa will give his reindeer a break by riding the winter train rides near me this year.

After all, they'll need their rest for the end of December!

His helpers will be in the caboose of Holiday Express Arkansas so kids will have a chance to make sure they're on the nice list.
