Spring is synonymous with wildflowers, and the Poppy Festival in Arizona celebrates those beautiful golden hillsides we look forward to each year. Who knew there were so many poppies in Arizona? Coming to Globe-Miami in April 2023, this weekend-long event features great food, live entertainment, and - of course - hikes through the vibrant fields of wildflowers in Arizona that cover the ground. Come along and see one of the best spring festivals in Arizona.

Every year in early April, Gila County turns into a spring wonderland as thousands of golden poppies begin to bloom.

The third annual AZ Poppy Fest will take place throughout the month of April in 2023 and Arizonans from all four corners of the state are invited to join in the spectacle.

The fun kicks off on Friday, April 7 in downtown Globe, where visitors can enjoy food vendors, live entertainment, and tons of local deals.

On Saturday afternoon, the party hops on over to the Stairizona Trail Tour.

Shops and galleries will be open late and offering all sorts of discounts, so be there or be square!

Catch a movie at the Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum at 7 p.m. on Saturday - it's the perfect ending to a fun-filled day.

Sunday is for hiking, so lace up those boots and make the trek out to San Carlos to see Peridot Mesa bursting with color.

The sight of these gilded hills truly never gets old.

When you purchase a festival wristband, you'll receive free admission for one to Besh Ba Gowah Archaeological Park and Museum. This 200-room ancient ruin is an archaeological treasure, complete with excavated artifacts and a lush botanical garden.
