The One Annual Winter Festival In Arizona Every Arizonan Should Bundle Up For At Least Once

Lovers of winter in Arizona have many reasons to be excited. It's that time of year again, and they know what that means: all sorts of amazing, unique things to do during the winter in AZ. For example, one of the most beloved winter festivals in Arizona, the Parada Del Sol, is returning to Old Town Scottsdale on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Held annually since 1954, the parade is one of Scottsdale's most cherished and time-honored traditions. There's also a festival afterward with tons of fun for the whole family!

On Saturday, February 4th, the 68th Annual Parada del Sol Parade & Trail’s End Festival is set to take place in historic Old Town Scottsdale.

Part of Old Town Scottsdale Western Week, the festival is one of the city's most cherished traditions.

More than 30,000 spectators line Scottsdale Road each year to enjoy the parade.

You'll see more than 150 parade entries, from cowboys on horseback to marching bands and everything in between.

The event's name translates to "Parade of the Sun," and we couldn't think of a more accurate way to describe the energy.

Livening up the stillness of winter, the upbeat vibe promises to warm you up from the inside out.

Immediately following the parade is the Trail's End Festival, which is a massive block party with entertainment for all ages.

Featuring live music, tons of delicious food, games, pony rides, and more, it's such a fun way to come together as a community.

The parade will run from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, February 4th.

The festival's hours are noon until 4 p.m. immediately following the parade.

The fun keeps on going well into the night, however, so don't leave as soon as the festival is over! A street concert will rock the block from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., ending the evening on the most joyous note possible.
