Try The Ultimate Nighttime Adventure With Moonlight Kayaking On Watson Lake In Arizona

Born To Be Wild Adventures offers moonlight kayaking trips on three lakes in the Prescott area, providing a unique way to experience Arizona's natural beauty.

We're always looking for new ways to experience Arizona's natural beauty, and Born To Be Wild Adventures, Tours & Rentals offers one of our favorites yet: moonlight kayaking. The Prescott-area rental service offers paddling trips on three different lakes with a single lantern serving as your guiding light.

Despite being a landlocked state, Arizona is surprisingly full of beautiful bodies of water.

For example, the Prescott area alone boasts three sprawling lakes - Watson, Willow, and Goldwater - and you can explore them all with Born To Be Wild Adventures.

With kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards available for rent, Born To Be Wild operates seven days a week, year-round.

None of the excursions are guided; instead, your rentals are dropped off at whichever lake you choose.

Moonlight kayaking is offered from May until September, and it's an experience you'll never forget.

The first session for this year is May 19-May 26.

A single lantern will serve as your guiding light, illuminating the darkness as the sun dips below the horizon.

After dark, the lake is impossibly still, and you can hear the sounds of nocturnal wildlife all around.

Lake hours are 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. during the summer months, and moonlight kayaking trips last from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Remember, you won't have a tour guide, so bring at least one friend for the safest and most enjoyable experience.

Single kayaks cost $25 each, while tandem kayaks rent for $50.

Triple kayaks are $75 apiece. If you'd like to rent a paddleboard instead, they cost $25 each, and canoes are $50.

Make sure to bring warm clothes, bug spray, water, snacks, a government-issued ID, and a flashlight or headlamp.

You may also want a change of clothes in case you get wet during the paddling trip.
