Here Are 10 Awesome Things You Can Do In Arizona For $10 Or Less

Discover ten affordable activities to enjoy in Arizona, ranging from miniature golf to laser shows.

Last month, we highlighted a nice collection of activities that you can do in Arizona without ever opening your wallet. However, if you find that you have a few dollars leftover from this week’s paycheck, why not treat yourself to some inexpensive fun? After all, you deserved it!

1. Catch a movie at Pollack Tempe Cinemas.

Admission is $3 daily, except for Tuesdays when it is $2. There are plenty of other options across the state with similar prices, so check them out to save a few bucks.

2. Play a round or two of miniature golf at the Z Fun Factory in Yuma.

Not yet ready to show off your skills on one of the huge, sprawling golf courses in the state? No worries, play a game of miniature golf here for $5 per person.

3. Attend an open mic at Firecreek Coffee Company in Flagstaff.

Open mics are generally held every Tuesday starting at 7:00pm. Sign up and attendance is free, you just pay for whatever drinks you opt to purchase during the performances.

4. Visit the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures in Tucson.

Alter your perspective by viewing some very tiny displays at this museum. Admission is $9 each for adults and $6 each for children.

5. Go for a day hike anywhere in the state.

Depending on where you go, you may need a day pass but this will generally cost less than $10.

6. Show your kids what school used to be like by visiting the Pine-Strawberry Museum.

Admission is $1 and you get to see plenty of historical sites in addition to the old schoolhouse.

7. Transport yourself to another place at the Japanese Friendship Garden in downtown Phoenix.

Admission is $5 for adults and it's open October through May.

8. Watch a laser show at the Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium in Tucson.

Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children. If you think laser shows are nothing without Pink Floyd, you’re in luck because they have those showings on Saturday nights.

9. Enjoy pizza and live music at Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa.

A medium cheese pizza will run you $10 and you can request just about any song to be played on their huge organ.

10. Learn to swing dance at the Duce in downtown Phoenix.

On Tuesday nights, pay $8 for a free one-hour dance lesson and entrance for dancing afterwards.
