This Seafood Festival On The Beach In Alaska Is What Summer Dreams Are Made Of

The "By The Sea" Arts & Seafood Festival in Coffman Cove, Alaska, celebrates local marine life, arts, and delicious seafood annually in August.

Alaska is known internationally for incredible seafood! With some of the freshest marine fare you can get, with the healthiest levels of nutrients by far, "Wild Alaskan Caught" is synonymous with fantastic quality and taste. It’s no surprise that we have a fun little seafood festival on the beach out in the gorgeous little town of Coffman Cove!

The "By The Sea" Arts & Seafood Festival is held annually in Coffman Cove, Alaska.

This cool event looks to celebrate the unique marine based lifestyle the locals on the island have. This seaside fair wants to promote the arts and help support the local Rainforest Artists and Artisans.

Besides the delicious Alaskan seafood, you can find great locally made dishes all throughout the festival.

The students at the local school like to make dishes for sale. Along with great food for sale is the education about the marine natural resources, so the seafood bounty can continue in years to come!

The vendors are both local and visiting artisans.

There’s all sorts of things on sale from arts, crafts, jewelry, and gifts! There’s also a raffle each day, as well as a Raffle Grand Prize on the last day.

There are a ton of different performances throughout the weekend.

Enjoy live music, slam poetry, and wood carvers. There are many different examples throughout the fair that increase the awareness of the Rainforest Islands Arts and Oceanic lifestyle.

There’s plenty of kid sized fun, too!

There’s face painting, fireworks, and blow up marine animals. The festival encourages a playful learning environment to help discover more about the local marine area.

There are even produce and flower vendors at the festival.

The Arts and Seafood Festival hosts the Prince of Wales Farmers Market, where you can find awesome local farmers’ produce. The goal is to focus on buying locally grown products and food!

The "By The Sea" Arts & Seafood Festival in Coffman Cove is held the second weekend in August.

That weekend will be Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th. It is held at the Coffman Cove Ferry Terminal, at this Address: Coffman Cove Ferry Terminal, Coffman Cove, AK 99918.
