These 8 Roadside Restaurants In Delaware Are Worth Stopping For
There are so many amazing restaurants in Delaware, from the world-class Green Room to the family-favorite Striper Bites. Sometimes, though, you don’t have time to stop and sit down for a long dining experience. Just because you’re on the go doesn’t mean you should have to suffer through fast food! These roadside restaurants in Delaware serve up amazing food in convenient locations, so you can get your dinner and drive off into the sunset.
1. Smokin' Dz BBQ
Smokin' Dz BBQ stand serves up some of the best smoked chicken I've ever had. Their brisket is famous in the area, too, and you'll be so happy that you stopped by.
Find them at the corner of Rt.1 And Rt 88 (Caveneck Rd) in Milton.
2. Helen's Sausage House
Of course, Helen's Sausage House makes this list! As one of the top breakfast spots in Delaware, it's hard to come by anyone who could pass up a stop at Helen's.

Meding's is hard to miss - just look for the GIGANTIC propeller on the side of Bay Rd. Their seafood is fresh-caught and their portions are huge, so you've got to be careful that you don't get sleepy on the road after dinner here. Try the fried shrimp, it's to die for.

7. The Dog House, New Castle
You've probably passed The Dog House hundreds of times driving north or south from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, but have you ever stopped here? It's worth the wait, even when the line wraps around the building. This is one of the only places in Delaware that serves up Chicago dogs and speciality hotdogs that you'll crave every time you drive by.

8. Russel's Quality Foods
Russell's started off as a small roadside stand in Wilmington, but I've heard that he's moved up to a storefront.
